The Clone Wars is nuts.

You could describe it like this: Child Soldier is thrown into the front lines of war, in the care of a reckless 20yo General. She is later abandoned by those who made her a soldier, and her abandonment causes her General to fall closer to a massive mental breakdown.

Or like this: A newly married 20yo suddenly finds himself the legal gaurdian of a middle school aged girl and has to adjust to his new situation with the help of his wife and much older brother who raised him.

And both are 100% accurate. One sounds like a dark war story that would be PG13 at least and the other sounds like a cheesy Hallmark movie about finding family.
