Oh I was just posting about this on FB the other day because people were losing their minds over figs.
Saw this response image on Facebook. No way is a vegan diet cruelty free, but anyone honestly justifying eating meat because “workers tho” needs to do a lot of research on slaughterhouse workers and the fact that it takes MORE plants to produce meat than it does to just eat plants.
It’s not a justification for eating meat, it’s a criticism of veganism, one that no vegan seems to acknowledge. They’re not saying that their diet is ok, but that calling veganism “cruelty free” is a misnomer and more vegans NEED to acknowledge this.
It’s not always a personal attack y’all. Just breathe and do better. Please stop being so defensive all the time.
Anyone else tickled that the vegans literally put animals above the non-white humans here?
Yeah that’s definitely part two of this. White vegans will put animals above people of color almost every time, and it’s really telling.
The fact that they changed someone’s work and message because their feeling s were hurt is just completely disrespectful say you don’t respect artists of color and go
