Zatth has literally the most hilarious power. It allows the user to summon a creature at random, so long as it’s in the same environment as the user. The user has no control over which creature is summoned, no control over the creature once it’s summoned, and no ability to send it away either.
So I don’t know if this is just me or what but It seemed really obvious.
In the Phantoka/Mistika story line Gavla really prefers to be a shadow Matoran rather than an Av-Matoran. In fact she really seems to come in to her own and take charge of the Shadow Matoran. She also was rather reluctant to return to her original state.
So this has always made me think that she would behave rather anti-socially on Spherus-Magna; Skulking around outside of cities and hanging out in dark places like an edgy teen. The most deserted and darkest place would clearly be the remains of the GSR (after most of the expeditions into the remains for remaining rahi and important items stopped). So Gavla would often hide out in the derelict cities and islands finding trinkets and treasures.
The biggest treasure she finds is when she goes to Metru Nui, which is mostly destroyed, and the sea has been draining into the crater the GSR is in. With the sea gone, she finds the real Kraahkan stuck in the bedrock and dawns it, becoming the first true Toa of Shadow.
SIDENOTE: I say ‘real’ Kraahkan because I think Icarax had a copy or newly made one. When the Piraka raided Mangia, Reidak threw it into the sea and later Icarax somehow fished it off the bottom of the ocean? I don’t think he has the patience for that. Also, if you want to get all conspiracy theory with it, Icarax’ Set Mask is a different mold than Teridax’ original one. The new one has an extra slot on either side of the chin.
I don’t know, do you think I’m stretching it here or is it plausible?
What with Ahkmou always siding with Makuta and kind of undermining the other Matoran from the inside all the time, I thought it would be cool to give him a (literal) “cloak and dagger” kind of design. The grappling hook really fits him if you ask me, as it would be just his style to yank another being close before stabbing them in the back. He can also use it to climb and stuff.
