So it never made sense to me how Teridax never actually killed Dume and instead just imprisoned him in a Matoran Sphere so he wouldn’t interfere. I honestly doubt Teridax actually needed him or whatever so the headcanon is that he gave the job of getting rid of Dume to Nidhiki, but Nidhiki had an attack of conscience and spared Dume by imprisoning him instead of killing him. Thus, unbeknownst to everyone, including himself, Nidhiki inadvertently planted the seeds for the Toa Metru’s victory over Teridax. The true tragedy is that this would be his final act of heroism…which nobody would know about as he remains the equivalent of Benedict Arnold or Judas in Matoran history for the rest of time.

Bionicle! Lately I’ve been feeling that a lot of the energy in my sketches gets lost when I erase the pencils, so for this drawing I did an experiement where I inked a lot of the pencil marks I normally wouldn’t have. I like the way it looks. Also used some funky neon markers that glow under certain circumstances (like natural light from a window at dawn).
