If Solekians really need to praise their white and grey piece of rubbish, they might as well praise the version of Solek that’s worth praisin’
Here he is, Solek, the toa of overzealousness and fanatism!… Actually, yeah, I’m not keeping that name. Toa Solek just sounds wimpy. How about Swolek? That should do. 😀
Pretty simple character design – Takanuva’s original color-scheme, although quite a bit more gold thrown into the mix, pretty simple weapon choice of Solek’s normal blade, just enlarged from a dagger to a one-handed scimitar. I wanted to include a shield in, but that didn’t really end up as something worthwhile.
I did modify Solek’s noble Akaku due to my own headcanon how mask shapes work in GSR, and also just added a scope like all akaku should friggin have. I will probably make a custom sprite for it in the future for better reference.
This one was really hard but it was great to practice male anatomy, specially full bodies.
Lewa Mata was reaaaally hard to do. Specially the mask. Masks back there where a bit weird, wont shy on saying im more a fan of the latter designs. And having to make his armour less.. well, “armoured” than Lewa Nuva was a challenge but i think it came out ok.
Lewa Nuva is the one that im more proud of, i love how the Nuva armour turns out. Slick and looks imponent. The swords were the biggest challenge.
And Lewa Phantoka. This one was… interesting. After i read the story i never knew why change the masks. Why not make them a bit update but keep the basic design? It would have been amazing to see a Lewa mask maybe with the blue points of the Axalara Lewa (i added them in this one. I always wanted the Axalara but here in Peru it was really expensive and my dads didnt had that kind of money). Im very proud of the Midak Skyblaster.
